Introducing Red Light Hero
In short
Red Light Hero started because Helmut tried to buy a red light therapy panel and found a market full of jargon and inflated claims. He went through the research, the suppliers and the engineering, dropped the features that add nothing and put the money into irradiance, safety and durability.
The aim is simple: well-made devices and straight information.
How it started
Our journey began in 2023 when founder Helmut Uhlmann first learned about red light therapy (RLT) through a Bryan Johnson video. He wanted to try it out but was shocked at how expensive panels were. And with websites full of marketing jargon, the more he researched the more unsure he felt about which device he should buy.
What Helmut found
This led Helmut to deep dive into:
- 📑 Studies
- 🏭 Suppliers
- 🔎 The details of how RLT devices work
He discovered:
- The red light therapy industry is full of misinformation - for example claiming 5W bulbs deliver more power than 3W bulbs when they don’t
- By removing counterproductive features and putting the money where it matters (irradiance, safety and durability) he could offer RLT devices with unparalleled value
Why we started Red Light Hero
After trying different panels and feeling the benefits he thought “why not make red light therapy easy?". While most companies make huge margins positioning RLT devices as expensive luxury items, our vision is to make this powerful technology affordable and accessible.
We’re confident you won’t find better value red light therapy panels than the Hero60 and Hero300 anywhere else - we’ve tried!
To sum up, we started Red Light Hero because we saw a gap in the market for:
- High quality red light therapy devices at affordable prices
- Comprehensive science-backed red light therapy information
