HeroReader™ is informed by research into the harmful impacts blue and green light can have on our sleep and circadian rhythm³.

For example, a 2021 Japanese study found the "ratio of deep sleep was significantly decreased in the blue-light exposure group compared to the groups with incandescent light and blue light-blocking glasses".

Likewise, a 1991 UK study found "humans are particularly sensitive to green light, and melatonin output is more readily suppressed by this hue".
