Whole-body sessions, ten wavelengths at once

Hero960 Elite™ is the largest panel in the HeroPanels Elite™ range: an array of 960 medical-grade LEDs over 1800 x 473mm. Complete a whole body session at once - built for gyms, wellness centres and people who want to maximise efficiency, with Aussie service, durable construction and a 3-year warranty.

Comes with a remote control, goggles, power cable, wall-mount hardware and manual. Pair it with the HS4 Branch Stand™ or the HS5 Anti-Tip Wall Stand™ to position it vertically, horizontally or at an angle.

Key features include:

  • 10 clinically referenced wavelengths for broad, research-informed light exposure
  • Equal LED distribution across a patent-pending geometrically neutral layout for uniform coverage
  • 1:1 Ratio of Red to NIR energy designed to support a balanced biphasic dose response
  • Wide 60° optical beam for consistent illumination, synergistic wavelength overlap and maximum energy transfer
  • High irradiance with just 10-15 minutes at 7.5-15cm away delivering ~60J/cm², a dose shown to be effective in both skin and muscle/deeper tissue research³
  • Free access to our Dosage Estimator which calculates an appropriate session length for your goals (if you get confused we're happy to help)

Unlike panels that prioritise marketing features, the Elite line is built around balanced energy delivery, smooth light overlap, global safety certifications, and thoughtful specifications.

If you're on a tighter budget or have limited space, you might like to consider the Hero60 Elite™ and Hero300 Elite™ panels.

10 Clinically-Backed Wavelengths (590-1072nm)

All wavelengths distributed equally across the panel

The Elite Series has the most comprehensive wavelength profile of any panel on the market:

590 • 630 • 645 • 660 • 675 • 810 • 830 • 850 • 880 • 1072 nm

All wavelengths are equally distributed, giving your body a balanced mix of shallow, mid-depth, and deep-penetrating light. This avoids the heavy bias toward 660/850 nm found in most consumer panels (which, while well studied, only represent a moderate portion of total RLT literature and are so prevalent due to being cheaper because they're mass-produced for other industries) and provides more natural, wide-spectrum light exposure without UV.

Hero960 Elite™ carries 96 LEDs of each wavelength - 960 in total.

Half of the 10 wavelengths are in the red range (590-675nm) and the other half are in the NIR (810-1072nm) range, ensuring you get even coverage of both the superficial and deep-penetrating wavelengths referenced throughout published light therapy literature. To further improve uniformity, the LEDs are arranged in a patent-pending geometrically-neutral pattern.

3W Medical-Grade Epileds LEDs

Don't get fooled by brands pushing 5W LEDs (they produce the same brightness while using more electricity) or dual-lens LEDs (they emit lower irradiance and are less durable).

Every Elite panel uses medical-grade 3-watt single-chip Epileds LEDs, known for their stability, longevity, and reliability. The LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours (about 11 years of continuous use) and deliver consistent output across the entire panel surface.

Wide 60° Optical Lenses for Even Coverage

HeroPanels Elite™ use advanced 60° wide-angle optics engineered to blend all 10 wavelengths into a perfectly smooth, evenly mixed field of light at close, comfortable distances like 3"-6". This means you get consistent, uniform illumination across your entire treatment area without needing to sit far back or constantly reposition. Traditional 30° panels only achieve this level of blending at over double the distance, which wastes a large portion of their output into the room. With Elite, far more of the light actually reaches your skin - delivering better coverage, better wavelength mixing, and dramatically better energy efficiency in every session.

1:1 Ratio of Red to NIR Energy

HeroPanels Elite™ have a ~1:1 balance of Red and Near-Infrared LEDs and energy, designed to provide consistent surface level and deep penetration. This balanced output ensures you receive equal exposure to the spectrums commonly used in light-based wellness products, without favouring one band over the other. The result is a more even and predictable light profile, suitable for people who prefer a straightforward, balanced approach to Red and NIR illumination.

HeroSync™

HeroSync™ is built into Hero300 Elite™ so several half-body panels can run as one. Hero960 Elite™ doesn't need it - it already covers the full body from a single panel, so it ships without the sync ports.

Warm Red Display

HeroPanels Elite™ replace harsh white/green displays with a warm red control screen, making evening use more comfortable and reducing unwanted blue-light exposure.

Global Safety Certifications

Every Elite model carries the following certifications and/or symbols:

  • CE
  • FCC
  • RoHS
  • RCM (AU/NZ electrical safety)
  • FDA Class II (USA)

Manufacturing occurs in facilities inspected under:

  • ISO9001

Designed for Performance, Not Gimmicks

The Elite Series intentionally excludes unnecessary features such as mobile apps, "smart" modes and pulsing (read our blog post on why pulsing is counterproductive for red light therapy). Instead, the focus is on:

  • LED quality
  • wavelength precision
  • optical engineering
  • cooling and longevity
  • electrical safety
  • energy efficiency

This approach is how we keep the focus on the build quality of HeroPanels Elite™.

Regulatory & Advertising Compliance Notice (Australia)

  • The HeroPanels Elite™ range is an FDA Class II medical device in the United States but is not TGA-approved in Australia (we are exploring this process, although it can be complex and costly).
  • No therapeutic or medical claims are made about the device.
  • All product information refers to the device's technical specifications and to general scientific findings about wavelengths, not to therapeutic outcomes.

Irradiance

HP350IR Spectrometer

Measured on Hero300 Elite™ - Hero960 Elite™ has identical LED density, optics and beam angle, so the readings are the same at each distance.

  • 86.1 mW/cm² @ 3" / 7.5 cm
  • 68.4 mW/cm² @ 6" / 15 cm
  • 65.8 mW/cm² @ 9" / 23 cm
  • 61.5 mW/cm² @ 12" / 30 cm

The panel holds roughly 90% of its 15 cm reading at 30 cm, which is nearer the distance most people actually use.

TES-1333 Solar Meter

Most brands quote a solar meter figure, so ours are published here for comparison. Solar meters over-read near-infrared by roughly 2.6× and 1.2× for red, so they report much higher numbers than a spectrometer - and highest of all for panels weighted towards NIR light. HeroPanels Elite have an equal amount of red and near-infrared, leading to a lower solar meter reading relative to less balanced panels. This makes uncorrected solar meter readings unhelpful when comparing panels (even though that's what most people try to do!), and they are used only because they provide a bigger number which can make a panel appear more powerful than it actually is.

Measured on Hero300 Elite™ (identical LED density, optics and beam angle).

What if other lights are on?

Light sources add up together so it doesn't matter if sunlight or other lamps are around - your device will work just as effectively as in the dark.

Does it really work?

Want more information?

Check out our How Red Light Therapy Works page, FAQs, or contact us with your questions.

Why choose Red Light Hero?

Our designs are based around what the science indicates works and not marketing hype.

Most red light therapy brands charge a premium not because their products cost more to make, but because they spend heavily on influencer marketing, celebrity endorsements, and brand positioning - and pass that cost straight on to you.

We don't.

At the same time we refuse to pad our devices with features that sound impressive but add cost without adding any real benefit: Bluetooth apps, pulsing modes, brightness controls, individual wavelength switching - none of these are supported by the clinical research, and in some cases (such as pulsing) actively work against your results.

Instead, we focus on what actually matters: performance, consistency, and real-world usability - while avoiding unnecessary costs which don’t improve outcomes.

This, in combination with our lean online presence (no retail store overheads), strong word-of-mouth reach (our reviews are real) and experienced manufacturing partners (who we personally visit), is where the money goes instead.

When you buy from Red Light Hero, you're buying from a real founder (Helmut) who answers his own emails and can be called on mobile (for domestic customers) or through WhatsApp (for international customers). Helmut is directly involved in customer support - reviewers regularly mention hearing from him personally, whether to answer a pre-purchase question, resolve a delivery issue, or advise on how to get the best from their device.

Beyond that, buying Australian-owned means your consumer rights are backed by Australian law, your warranty claims don't disappear into an overseas support queue, and you're supporting a business that is genuinely accountable to its customers.

Finally, all domestic and most international orders (including to USA, Canada, UK and EU) are sent with DDP (delivered duty paid) shipping meaning you won't need to pay any unexpected import duties or deal with complicated customs clearance challenges⁶. Our DDP shipping service is free¹, and most orders are delivered within 7-14 days.

We've shipped to over 30 countries so, wherever you are, you get the same level of care.

We’re committed to long-term customer relationships, not just "quick sales" - so support doesn’t end after purchase. If you have any questions or need any support on your red light therapy journey, please don't hesitate to reach out.

P.S. If your delivery location isn't eligible for DDP shipping, we will contact you with your choice of either proceeding with non-DDP shipping or cancelling your order and receiving a full refund.

Yes - our products are designed and tested to align with the wavelengths and output levels we publish.

We personally test product samples using spectrometers, solar meters, and EMF readers, verifying that wavelength output, irradiance levels, and EMF readings all meet our standards. Our devices also carry globally recognised safety and quality certifications including CE, FCC, RoHS, JAS-ANZ, and FDA Class II (USA), and are manufactured in factories independently inspected under ISO9001, ISO13485, TÜV, SGS, and BSCI standards. See our Certifications & Testing page for more details.

Like all light-based devices, output can vary depending on distance and measurement method, which is why we focus on transparent, real-world performance and provide tools, such as our research-based Dosage Estimator, so you can plan sessions grounded in real numbers, not marketing claims.

If there's a specific technical question or concern on your mind, send us an email and we will be happy to nerd out with you.

No customs bill on arrival

Many companies use "express shipping", which sounds attractive but leaves you liable for customs and import duties.

Instead, we offer DDP (delivered duty paid) shipping for all Australian and most international orders (including USA, Canada, UK and EU) meaning you won't need to pay unexpected import taxes or deal with complicated customs clearance challenges⁶.

Purchase with confidence - we've shipped to over 30 countries across several regions including North and South America, Asia, Oceania, Europe and the Middle East.

Worried your country might not be covered? If you live in an area where we cannot offer DDP shipping, we will contact you so you can decide whether you'd like to proceed with non-DDP shipping or cancel your order and receive a full refund.

Our DDP shipping service is free¹, and most orders are delivered within 7-14 days.

Compare devices

See how the product you're looking at stacks up against the rest of our range.

Irradiance figures are as published on each product page. Compare solar meter readings with solar meter readings – spectrometer readings are more accurate but much lower, because solar meters over-read near-infrared light (see the HeroPanels Elite™ page for details). On-skin devices are measured touching the skin (0cm), so compare them with each other rather than with panels.
